I want to save money on a communal flat and in usual time, and even more so in a crisis.
We understand in order with the most costly points of payment: water, gas and electricity.
1. Free your hands
A dishwasher requires 20 times less water than hand-washing dishes, and a front-loading washing machine is more economical than a vertical one.
2. Do not flush your budget.
A toilet with a cistern in two modes - standard and economical - is a great way to save 15 liters of water per day. And then there is the everyday trick: try hiding a liter bottle of water in the tank - saving with each drain.
3. Mix wisely
Fish and touch faucets use 60% less water than valve faucets, and the water-saving shower head, the aerator, consumes 4-5 liters per minute instead of 10-12.
4. Keep a record of temperature
Install a hot water meter with a temperature sensor: if suddenly, instead of hot tap water, the water goes warm, you can request a recalculation.
5. Brush your teeth in silence.
Do not forget to turn off the water while brushing your teeth. For 2 minutes of this process, 20 liters of water are being wasted. Hundreds of thousands of liters for a lifetime!
6. Soak greasy dishes.
After the family dinner there is a whole bunch of greasy dishes that are hard to wash. Try soaking the pans and plates for an hour in a sink of water with a couple of drops of cleaning agent. This simple advice will help not only save a lot of water, but also make it easier to remove burnt leftovers.

7. Stop Leaks
Often we do not pay attention to water leaks or even do not know about them. You can easily check the drain tank: remove the lid from it and add food coloring to the water - if in a few minutes the bowl of the toilet bowl stains, then it’s time to eliminate the leakage. A dripping tap also consumes a lot of water - slowly and imperceptibly it is able to pass up to 10 liters of water per day through it.
1. Upgrade your radiators
Try to put a foil screen between the radiator and the wall - it will reflect the heat. Install automatic adjustment on radiators and try to prevent large pieces of furniture from blocking them.
2. Properly handle the stove ...
When cooking, choose a hotplate of the size that fits the pot, and when boiling, immediately reduce the heat to minimum. Do not kindle the oven if it is a baked apple, not a fried goose.
3 ... and dishes
Cooking under the lid saves up to 30% of energy, and dishes with a thick bottom bring food to readiness faster due to the accumulated heat. Make sure that the tips of the flame touched the bottom of the dishes: they focus on the maximum temperature.
4. Use foil
Try to cover the surface of the plate with foil. Due to the reflected heat, the dishes will heat up faster and cool longer. By the way, you will save time, effort and water on cleaning the plate - you can simply remove and discard the foil.
5. Cool slightly
Try to reduce the temperature in the room by 2-2.5 degrees. Not very noticeable in life, but it favorably affects the wallet. Watch the weather: often in January there are thaws down to plus 5-10 degrees - another reason to save on heating the room.
6. Air properly
Fresh air is needed, but an open window lowers the room temperature. Many people leave the window slightly open all day, but in fact, not only do you not refresh the air in the room, but you also constantly lose the temperature. But open for a few minutes, and then closed windows allow you to update the air and have less effect on heat consumption (and therefore gas) - since the surfaces do not have time to cool down in a short time.
7. Make the house snow white
Advice for owners of private homes. It is known that if all the roofs of houses are painted white, then the temperature on the globe will decrease by 2 degrees. Proper exterior coating of houses will help keep the house from overheating in the summer and retain heat in the winter.
1. Control the lighting
The best way to save money in the world is energy saving light bulbs. The alternative is to use dimmers, rotary dimmers that change the degree of illumination. And in the premises with active movement will fall by the way touch lamps. For those who forget to turn off the light, it is generally a godsend.
2. Free household appliances
Turn off household appliances from electrical outlets when you go to bed or leave home: even when they are turned off, they continue to consume energy. It is better not to put the refrigerator near the stove or in direct sunlight - it will consume 20-30% more electricity. And the electric kettle must be regularly cleaned of scale - with it it boils more slowly.
3. Add reflected light
Prefer to light shades in the interior - so you will return 80% of the light. Mirror and glossy surfaces do a great job too.
4. Do not charge the void
Do not leave the chargers for mobile, laptop, camera, player and other devices without idle. If the charger is permanently connected, up to 90% of all electricity is wasted.
5. Diversify lighting
Experts recommend avoiding bright lights and using spot lights. It turns out that a few lamps consume much less energy than a single large chandelier. Place floor lamps and wall lamps at key points of the apartment, and replace the bulbs in the chandelier with less powerful ones.
6. Maintain order
Keep the shades and lamps clean. Dust and dirt accumulating on them, reduce the efficiency of the devices by 20-30%. The same goes for dirty windows that "steal" natural light, forcing you to waste extra electrical energy.
7. Look for the letter “A”
When buying equipment, try to pay attention to its energy efficiency class. The most economical are electrical appliances of classes "A", "AA" and "AAA". The high cost of such goods will quickly be repaid during operation.
